From Intern to Deputy Branch Manager at Bankinter
For 12 years, I worked at Bankinter. I joined as an intern and eventually became Deputy Branch Manager at one of the bank’s leading branches in Catalonia.
It was a defining chapter in my career, and one I’m deeply grateful for. During those years, I gained insight into how the mortgage industry works, how lenders assess each application, and the factors that influence their decisions.
I also learnt how to handle complex situations and find solutions, even when none seemed possible.
From Deputy Branch Manager to Independent Mortgage Broker
Over time, I realised the way I wanted to help people no longer aligned with what I could do within a bank.
I didn’t want my recommendations to be shaped by sales targets, marketing campaigns, or the products offered by a single lender.
I wanted to listen, understand each person’s situation, and recommend what was genuinely best for them.
The Turning Point
The birth of my daughter gave me the push I needed to make a change. One morning, as I was making a cup of tea before work, I found myself thinking about the example I wanted to set for her.
I asked myself a simple question: “How could I one day tell my daughter to enjoy what she does and stay true to her values if I wasn’t doing the same?”
Since 2019, I’ve been helping people buy their homes with the peace of mind that my commitment isn’t to any bank—it’s to finding the mortgage that’s truly right for them.
